The swim was wonderful – I honestly can’t think of anything (bar the weather!) that could have been improved and totally dispelled any anxiety I had about not knowing How Things Are Done and getting disapproving stares from Those Who Know!
I love swimming and had always been fascinated by swimming in the ponds but didn’t have the courage to go on my own. I was deterred by going somewhere new where I didn’t know the etiquette. One of the hardest things to allow ourselves in our busy lives is ‘me time’. There’s always something more important, be that work or family based commitments, and before you know it days turn in to weeks, and weeks roll in to months. Earlier this year I made a conscious decision to gift myself some me time and join Annabel on her Bleak House adventure in Devon. And what a gift it turned out to be!
